  • Características generales

    The pYC mini controller is CAREL's tailor-made programmable solution that offers all the power and flexibility of the STone development environment in a compact package. 

     

    Various models are available, according to the number and type of inputs/outputs, panel or DIN rail-mounted versions. 

     

    The main actuators (electronic expansion valve, fan regulator, inverter-compressor, etc.) are managed using the serial communication feature on all the controls of this family to optimize machine regulation and efficiency. 

     

    The range includes wireless connectivity with the NFC interface as a standard feature and an optional Bluetooth interface to interact with mobile devices via the APPLICA and CONTROLLA apps (a desktop version is also available). This facilitates parameter configuration and commissioning of the unit in the field. 

     

    CAREL has always been focused on energy efficiency and reducing environmental impact. For this reason, the use of the new pYC mini range was evaluated according to the latest regulations for HVAC/R applications (F-GAS, EPBD, ECODESIGN) and complies with the requirements for A3 or A2L type flammable refrigerants. 

     

    Furthermore, computer security functions – such as secure booting and the use of asymmetric key encryption for tamper protection – are fundamental requirements for critical applications, like process applications.

    Always-on connectivity, in all conditions, for timely intervention and comprehensive reports for analysis. Direct connection to supervisory systems via RS485 with standard Modbus protocol. 

    Compatibility

    In addition to conventional ones, compatibility with HFO and natural refrigerants (also A3 or A2L ready).
